PSCompPars provides one composite row per planet. Values may be selected from different literature sources or calculated by the Archive, so parameters in one row do not necessarily form a single self-consistent physical solution. Uncertainties and assumptions vary. This atlas keeps compact flags for the kind of mass reported and for values whose NASA reference says “Calculated Value”, but it does not include parameter-level uncertainties, limits or full source references.
In a world’s details, Archive-calculated marks a value calculated by the NASA Exoplanet Archive rather than quoted directly from the selected literature reference. Mass labels also distinguish mass, minimum mass (M sin i), inclination-corrected mass, and values inferred from a mass–radius relationship.
Atlas-calculated surface gravity is the displayed mass divided by the square of the displayed radius, relative to Earth. It inherits the limitations of both inputs; when the mass is a minimum mass or a mass–radius estimate, the label says so.
NASA defines equilibrium temperature as the temperature of a blackbody heated only by its host star; for directly imaged planets, the field may instead be the blackbody effective temperature required to match measured luminosity. It is not an observed surface temperature and does not by itself describe climate or habitability.
Our eight planets appear as a separate reference layer and are never included in exoplanet counts or filters. Sizes use JPL equatorial radii in nominal Earth radii. Their temperatures use the NASA Exoplanet Archive’s zero-albedo, full-redistribution blackbody calculation at each planet’s semi-major axis, making them comparable to Archive-calculated values rather than surface temperatures.
Worlds Orbiting Two Suns uses NASA’s cb_flag. The binary pair is schematic because this snapshot does not contain companion-star sizes, temperatures or separations.
The display bands are navigation categories created for this atlas, not NASA scientific classifications. Radius: rocky-sized below 1.6 Earth radii; super-Earth-sized from 1.6 to below 4; Neptunian-sized from 4 to below 10; giant-sized at 10 or above. Estimated equilibrium temperature: below 250 K; 250–449 K; 450–1,099 K; 1,100 K or above.
